FastOrange® B Enrichment Bottles make it possible to begin the microbiological QC process directly at the sampling point. Just add the sample into a sterile, pre-filled FastOrange® B Enrichment Bottle, mix, and incubate at ambient temperature (25 °C / 77° F).

In the event beer spoilers are present, they show up in the enrichment broth within a few days as a clearly visible color change of the medium from violet to yellow accompanied by haze formation.

Small craft breweries in particular can easily perform routine microbiological analyses with FastOrange® B Enrichment Bottles without having a full lab or sending samples out for analysis. And owing to the large, 50 mL sample volume, even the lowest levels of spoiler concentrations can be detected.

  • Whirl-Pak® Stand-Up sample bags are convenient for gathering and processing samples from anywhere in the production process.

  • When the sample is placed inside, the special gusseted bottom flattens out, allowing the bag to stand up on its own.

  • It works just like a beaker or bottle, however, it costs less, is sterilized, will not break, and uses only a fraction of storage space of other containers.

  • We recommend the 532 ml bags for collecting samples and then decanting into the smaller, 118 ml bags for incubation.

  • Watch the manufaturer’s video below for proper use of the sample bags.
